Are dinosaurs an evolutionist myth, or the bones of an extinct 'phoenix bird'?
A viewer asks whether dinosaurs are an evolutionist myth with no existence in the Bible and whether their bones belong to an extinct phoenix bird named in the Hebrew.
Answer
Not a myth; there were big animals, that is clear in the paleontological record. But we have a good reason they died out: after the flood the climate changed drastically, dropping at least ten degrees, and there was no longer enough plant food for animals that eat all day, so they went extinct. We had baby dinosaurs on the ark, probably only a pair, and being egg-layers they could multiply quickly, but within a few hundred years the climate would not support them, which is good, because you would not want humans competing with animals ten times our size. As for the phoenix bird, the only place I have ever heard of it is in myths, so no.
