What do you think of the new Mayan Rite of the Mass?

Francis likes to push the edge; that is his mentality. As far as I see it, I do not care how you worship God as long as you worship God. Different cultures do different things: if you want to dance and pound a cymbal, or stand there like a rock with your hands folded and your rosary and not move, you can worship God either way. Scripture says David danced in the streets of Jerusalem, pounding a cymbal in praise of God; that was his thing. It does not really matter to God how you praise Him, as long as you do it, so I am not going to be quick to say, oh no, the pope approved people dancing and things from their pagan past. Now, if later they come into the church to be baptized, the church can show them another way to worship according to its traditions, whether Latin, Byzantine, or Coptic; they all worship differently, but they all come for one thing, the Eucharist, the body and blood of Christ. Everything after that is detail. The pope may go overboard on these things, and we need to watch out for that, but the basic principle of worship in another form, with other words, I do not have a problem with.
