What led you away from Protestantism to Catholicism?

It is very simple to me. There was one church at the beginning; there was no other. We took over from the Jews, and some of the Jews who repented were the first ones to make up our church. There was a direct transition from the Jewish nation as the carrier of the gospel to the Catholic Church, which now had custody of that gospel, and no other churches were around. If there was only one church, then there can be only one church. The next church did not come along until 1054, when the Eastern Orthodox split, and the one distinguishing feature is the pope, the successor of Peter, to whom Jesus said, I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. No one else was given the keys. Then along come the Reformers in the 1500s, like Martin Luther, telling us that after fifteen hundred years the church had it all wrong. On the hard doctrines like the Eucharist, the church wrestled from the beginning and made her decision that never changed, that it truly is the flesh of Christ. Somebody like Luther or Calvin says it is all just symbolic, the easy way out, and they end up in total heresy. So it is either believe the hard doctrines the Catholic Church has always held, or go with somebody who does not like them and interprets Scripture any way he wants. That is the gist of why I am a Catholic and will never change.
