On May 18, 2000, at the Huntington Catering House in Long Island, New York, roughly 800 people stood in rapt attention as James White and Robert Sungenis met in one of the most intense yet cordial exchanges on record. The Catholic side drew a stream of inquiries from Protestants afterward. One man, who had come convinced that Catholicism could not defend itself from the Bible, entered the Church three weeks later.
