Einstein: The Closet Geocentrist

It begins in 1905, with Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity and its attempt to explain away several 19th-century experiments that had found the Earth standing still in space. It then traces how Einstein's 1915 General Relativity forced him, unexpectedly and only vaguely and quietly, to retract nearly everything the Special theory had taught about the Earth's motion, the ether, the speed of light, material objects, and the speed of gravity. The result was striking: his own covariance and co-equivalence equations allowed the universe to be geocentric.
