Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus: Is there Salvation Outside the Church

If you have ever met a Catholic with a "Feeneyite" leaning, this presentation is for you. A number of historical documents appear to teach that there is no salvation at all for anyone who is not formally Catholic, a strictly literal reading of the ancient dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, "outside the Church, no salvation." That is indeed true for those who have been presented with the Gospel and have rejected it.
