The Gift of Tongues: Is it for Today?

Is the gift of tongues meant for the Church today? This set gathers, in one place, about as thorough an answer as you are likely to need. Recorded in studio from a fifty-page paper by CAI's president, Robert Sungenis, it traces the appearance of tongues from Syro-Palestine around 1,100 B.C. through the early years of the Church, the Middle Ages, the Reformation, and the four and a half centuries since.

A special section examines tongues from a psychological perspective, a useful lens for discerning certain forms of modern glossolalia, and actual accounts of tongue-speaking are set out and analyzed in detail.
