The title refers to the Copernican Principle, which the narrator Kate Mulgrew states plainly: "It tells us we're nothing special." The booklet walks through the film's argument in the order the film makes it, from Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Darwin and Einstein to Nietzsche's "God is dead," with the words of Pascal, Goethe and Hawking on what the Copernican Revolution cost, and is meant to be kept at hand by viewers and study groups.
