Are the accounts of people who died, went to heaven or hell, and came back real?

A lie, in the first sense, is when somebody tells a story they know is not true, deliberately; but you can lie without even knowing you are lying, and that is the distinction to make first. When someone is on their deathbed, they are anesthetized, taking drugs, not in a normal state of mind, and the subconscious takes over. Think how powerful your subconscious is; your dreams at night can seem completely real, like daytime. The mind is always working, and it gets more acute when death is in your face. Nobody wants to go to hell, so the most comforting thing your brain can do, without you even knowing it, is create images to comfort you, just as it does in a dream. The mind has mechanisms to protect you, like blocking out the memory of a horrible accident until you can cope with it. So when they think you have died, all kinds of things are affecting your brain, and it creates images just as real as living life. Nobody goes to heaven or hell until they are actually, clinically dead, and once the soul is in heaven or hell or purgatory, it is not coming back and not communicating with you. I read the book and saw the movie about the little boy who claimed to go to heaven, because I wanted to get to the bottom of it, and I found the book contradicting itself in about half a dozen places where the child's remembrance and reality conflicted, and they just glossed over it. So do not let anybody fool you with the white lights and all that; that is what the brain does to make you feel comfortable in the situation of dying.
