How do I answer the claim that Christmas was placed on December 25 to convert pagans?
A viewer asks how to answer people who charge that Christmas was set on December 25 to attract pagans because it falls near a pagan feast.
Answer
Here is what you do. Get my book, The Dates of Adam to Christ. What happens with the pagans is that they just want to copy us; that is all that is happening. It is not a matter of Christmas copying the pagan feast; it is the pagans copying the Christian Christmas. If you want to know how we get to December 25th chronologically and genealogically, my book tells you, and there are about four different chronological paths you can use to arrive at December 25th. So it is the correct date, and the pagans copied us, not the other way around.
