Schism and DissentAnswered

Should a Catholic leave the Church for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod because of the apostasy of the Magisterium?

A viewer named Richard asks whether Robert is considering leaving the Roman Catholic Church and joining the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod because of the apostasy of the Magisterium.

Answer

No. Why? Because the New Testament predicts this is going to happen. It says there will come an apostasy first, and then the man of sin will be revealed, and then the end will come. So why would I want to join a Protestant church that broke away from the true Church, when I know the Church is going to become apostate and we are seeing the signs of it today, and have been for quite a while? If the New Testament predicts it, why would I get frustrated? Everything is falling into line just the way the New Testament said it would. So I expect this to happen. But Jesus said that he who endures to the end shall be saved, and I know that too. I would suggest to you, Richard, that you get yourself under the Catholic Church, as bad as it may be, because there is only one true Church, not two. One of us is wrong, and we happened to come fifteen hundred years before you did, so I think that answers the question.
