What do you think of other dimensions like in sci-fi shows, and does a multi-dimensional universe exist?
A viewer asks what Robert thinks of the idea of different dimensions like those in sci-fi shows, and whether he believes a multi-dimensional universe exists.
Answer
Don't pay attention to them. They don't know what they're talking about. There are only three dimensions. Even string theory recognizes that there's only three dimensions, and the other seven dimensions that they have, or eight dimensions, they have a new theory, it's the 11 dimensions, they're all too small and insignificant to be of any competition to the three basic dimensions. So there are three dimensions, and that's what we call Euclidean space: length, height, and width. Dimensions beyond that don't take up space. They take up time or they take up operations, things of that nature. If you've heard of the fourth dimension or the fifth dimension, that doesn't mean the singing group. They use dimensions a little too loosely, the word dimensions, a little too loosely. Because when we use the word dimension, and we've used that for a very long time, we're thinking about spatial dimensions, okay? And there's only three of those in space. So when they use dimensions beyond three dimensions, they're not really talking about dimensions as we have gotten used to that term. Do I believe that a multi-dimensional universe exists? No.
