Will Jesus return as a Jewish rabbi?
A viewer asks whether it is technically possible, as a Protestant TV minister claimed, that when Jesus comes back he will be a Jewish rabbi.
Answer
No. Rabbinism has been over for two thousand years; whatever Judaism is practiced today has no substance, because the old covenant ended when Jesus died on the cross and the temple curtain was torn in two, signifying that the old covenant was replaced by the New Covenant in Christ. There is a widespread effort, even in the seminaries, to pretend the Jews still have their own covenant, but that is a bald-faced lie. Besides, Jesus is of the order of Melchizedek, not of the Levitical priesthood, and rabbis themselves were a later invention with no basis in the Old Testament, which spoke only of Levitical priests. So Jesus, the founder of the New Covenant after Melchizedek, is not going to come back as a rabbi; as the book of Hebrews shows, he has nothing to do with Judaism except that he came from Judah.
