The flat Earth question has surged back to life on social media: is the Earth a flat disc under a solid dome, or a globe surrounded by the vastness of space? Commissioned by the Kolbe Center, Robert Sungenis answers it in full. Flat Earth, Flat Wrong: An Historical, Biblical and Scientific Analysis is by far the most detailed and comprehensive examination of the flat Earth theory yet written from the critical side of the debate, showing historically, biblically, and scientifically why the globe Earth is the true reality.

Its 736 pages fall into three sections. The Historical section (about 100 pages) traces the movement from Rowbotham in the late 1880s to its leaders today, their motivations, their science, their funding, and their worldview, and shows how modern science and modern theology have each stumbled over Genesis 1, the shape of the Earth, and the meaning of the Firmament.

The Biblical section (about 200 pages) gives a deep exegesis of every relevant passage, including Isaiah 40:22 (“the circle of the Earth”) and the “four corners of the Earth,” examining the original Hebrew and Greek of each. It devotes some 80 pages to the Church Fathers' views on a spherical Earth, a thorough treatment of the Firmament, and, for the first time in current literature, roughly 70 pages making the case for the dubious origin of the “dome” concept.

The Scientific section (about 400 pages) answers the arguments flat-earthers rely on, from NASA and photographs of the Earth, to the Chicago skyline seen across Lake Michigan, to Antarctica and the ice wall, to gravity and the vacuum of space, and some 40 other topics, divided into astronomical evidence and Earth-based evidence.
