The Copernican Conspiracy, a novel

Come along on a life-changing journey with two college sophomores, Joshua Gemelli and his sweetheart, Mary McGinnis, and their new friend, Suresh Verma, as they seek the freedom at St. Robert Bellarmine College to voice what they are discovering in science. Devout Catholics, Josh and Mary have grown into a renewed trust in the traditions of their Church, now that they understand why it rejected Galileo's universe four centuries ago. Like everyone else, they had always assumed the Earth circles the sun, a belief no more open to question than gravity itself. To their astonishment, the three students find that the very physics they are studying, read in its most obvious and fitting sense, shows the Earth motionless at the center of the universe, a conclusion stated plainly in the scientific literature yet, they discover, systematically buried as part of a worldwide effort to keep the truth from coming out.

But all is not well at the college. The three face stern and often belligerent opposition from Professor Samuel Richenstein, the very picture of a science establishment wedded to the Copernican Principle and the Big Bang, who holds that the Earth occupies no special place and moves along with everything else. He will stop at nothing to silence what he takes for three academic vigilantes bent on reviving discredited superstition.
