Geocentrism For Dumskies and Smart Kids

Written at roughly a fourth or fifth grade reading level, this volume sets out to show a child, and any adult willing to sit beside one, why the motion of the Earth has never been demonstrated. Sungenis opens with the standard dismissal ("Geocentrism, you say? Poppycock!") and answers it not with assertions of his own but with the words of Albert Einstein, Lincoln Barnett, Stephen Hawking, Fred Hoyle, Hans Reichenbach and Dennis Sciama, each granting that the observations fit an Earth at rest as readily as a moving one.

From there the chapters set the geocentric and heliocentric models side by side and work through the cosmic microwave radiation, the usual proofs of the Earth's motion, relativity, galaxies and quasars, and the multiverse, closing with an assessment of the state of modern science. The endnotes carry the heavier material, written for homeschooling parents teaching more inquisitive students, and the author recommends the color edition for the diagrams. The second edition is dedicated to his eleven-year-old daughter, Kathrine, who asked for it.
