Do you believe the moon landing was real?

I have said this before. I have no problem with sending a spacecraft to the moon, or to Jupiter, or Voyager, wherever they send it; that was possible even in the 1960s, when Gemini went around the earth three times, and you could just as well aim it at the moon or crash it there. That a craft got there is easy. The real question is whether you can send a human being in a space suit through all that radiation, when he needs a pristine environment to survive: the right temperature, food, defecation rate, blood pressure, everything perfect, and if one thing goes out of whack for very long, he is dead. Can you get a man in a 1969 rocket, with less computing power than my watch, to the moon and back alive, with all that radiation out there? That is the real question. The moon and the other planets are lifeless because they are not conducive to life, so once you send a man into an environment that will kill him the moment it gets the chance, you have a serious problem. You cannot kill a piece of metal; a metal spaceship you can only melt or bombard, and nothing out there reaches a temperature to melt it. It is the fragile human beings inside we have to worry about. And consider the political climate: the Russians went ahead in 1957 with Sputnik, everyone panicked that we were behind, Kennedy promised a man on the moon within ten years, and that was with the minuscule technology of 1963. So that part I am not so sure about.
