Modern ChurchAnswered

What is your opinion of Regnum Christi, and is it a cult?

A viewer asks Robert's opinion of Regnum Christi and whether it is a cult.

Answer

I would put it right up there, very close to a cult. Look how the whole thing started, by the Legionaries of Christ, led by Father Marcial Maciel, who turned out to be one of the most wicked men in the history of the Church, and when John Paul II died, Pope Benedict dealt with this joker as soon as he got into office. So the roots down to the foundation are corrupt. It is a big money-making operation, just like Opus Dei; all they are interested in is making money, convincing people they have to live a certain way, and it always requires your money, sometimes even taking people's income and giving back a small portion. They are always looking for rich people to rub shoulders with so they can make more money, and now they are trying to take over the Knights of Columbus. When you find an organization always talking about money, you have problems, because Jesus says you cannot love God and Mammon at the same time. Maciel was traveling the world getting huge crowds and taking all their money, then living high off the hog and having sex with women, men, and children, and he was a priest. So there is the answer.
