What passages teach that God created time, space, and matter?

What passages teach that God created time, space, and matter; is Gen 1:1 “time, space, matter”; were fish from sea, trees from earth, and man from God’s presence?

Answer

Genesis 1:1 does not teach a philosophical formula like “time, space, and matter.” The Hebrew says “in beginning,” not “in the beginning.” It introduces the first creative act, not a clock-based starting point. God created the heavens and the earth, meaning everything above and below the earth’s sphere. The “deep” is the vast water that surrounded the earth, probably frozen. Fish were created within the water, not from it. The idea that man dies when he leaves God’s presence is only a metaphor, since even sinners live in His presence.
