The Passion and ResurrectionAnswered

What was the cloud on which Christ ascended into heaven? Was it a super-dense element able to support a human body?

A viewer asks what the cloud was on which Christ ascended into heaven, and whether it was made of a super-dense element so it could support a human body.

Answer

No, I don't believe so. I could be wrong about that. But clouds, as you know, are ethereal, right? You can put your hand through it. You cannot grasp a cloud if you try to grab one. So no, the cloud is not supporting Him. But the cloud was a common historical atmospheric condition that occurred whenever somebody was coming from heaven or going to heaven throughout the whole Bible. So it would be no big deal to them. I was trying to think of the sojourn in the desert where they had the pillar of fire by night and the cloud by day. And then you had the Shekinah glory cloud, which was also ethereal, and it would come down at the tent and then penetrate into the tent where Moses was, and God and Moses would start talking. That's the Shekinah glory cloud. So cloud, as we can see, is something that God uses to transport a more solid thing from one place to another. That's all I can say. I haven't done any more study about that. And isn't it amazing? You could look at every page and there's things there that you haven't even thought about, much less figured out. Here's one of them.
